Ethan Margolis left the USA at the age of 21 to study the art of flamenco in Andalusia, Spain. He returned to the USA and specifically to Los Angeles 11 years later in 2010 and launched his flamenco fusion project entitled ‘Sir Sultry’. Sir Sultry is a mixture of flamenco rhythms, dance, bluesy vocals and singer-songwriter vibes.
During his 11 years in Spain, Margolis formed a roots flamenco dance company (www.arteypureza.com), toured the world, taught master classes in many prestigious universities, wrote a touring flamenco rock opera (Spanish Day), and has composed for theater and commercial recordings. He has performed with a long list of Spain’s most prominent flamenco artists including Concha Vargas, Inés Bacán, El Lebrijano, Curro Fernandez, Las Peligros and Tomás Perrate. Other interesting collaborations include Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes), guest professor at Cal Arts, World Festival of Sacred Music in Los Angeles alongside Hirokazu Kosaka (Buddhist Priest), and compositions for theater companies performing works by Federico Garcia Lorca.

Skinny’s proudly welcomes Player King Productions and a very special evening of music, comedy and theater as they raise funds for their upcoming production…Coronado. Doors 7pm, and features music by Saucy Jack and Smithfield Bargain and the event will feature raffle prizes, music, comedy and more! $10 admission and 21+ with ID.
Player King Productions is a theatre company dedicated to bringing the “play” back to the Theatre. At one time in all of our lives, we took part in “theatre”. As children we all pretended to be someone or something extraordinary, we told and acted out stories created entirely from our free imaginations. It has been said “We don’t stop playing because we grow
older, we grow older because we stop playing”. We aim to remind people of the days of play, when we let ourselves be guided by pure imagination and nothing else. We are committed to bringing the life back to theatre, and
the theatre back to life. http://www.playerkingproductions.com/Player_King_Productions/Welcome.html Coronado is the only play written by acclaimed mystery writer Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, Shutter Island). Lehane’s stories show us a broken world, full of mystery, tragedy, and
pain, but what makes his stories special is his ability to make us see the
heroism in characters trying to claw their way through, and be good.
